Bond Testing (BT)
Bond Testing or BT is the inspection of bonded structure for metal to metal and metal to composite disponds that can be observed with Nondestructive Inspection (NDI).
Bond testing can be performed on single layer and multi-layer bonded structures for the detection of disbondments and core damage.
Technologies common use for bond testing include tap testing, delay line ultrasonics, MIA, resonace, pitch-catch, surface waves, shear waves, and swept mode. We understand the importance of your adhesive, cure cycle, and autoclave working in harmony to achieve the perfect bond.
From in-service bond defects to manufacturing, we are experts at bond testing inspections and we speak your language. In-Spec Technologies provides Qualified and Certified NAS-410 NDI ultrasound Level 2-3 inspectors with bond testing experience for your inspection and training needs.
