Visual Nondestructive Testing (VT) is commonly performed with Mirrors, Optical Prisms, Videoscopes and Borescopes. Visual testing is an integral part of aircraft maintenance for the detection of cracks, corrosion and damaged parts. Although visual checks are a daily part of aircraft maintenance many inspections may require the eye of a trained NDT Level II visual inspector.
